Meet Rebecca Stevenson
“We all get married in a certain time and place…but many of us struggle to find the agility to adjust with each other over the ensuing years. It’s life, it’s challenges, it’s children, it’s stressors, it’s whatever has brought you to this point. It’s normal! We lose sight of each other. As a couples specialist, my job is to help you truly ‘see’ your partner again. You’ll find my style…
to be direct and open. I’m looking beneath the surface for fresh observations and new ways of understanding your emotions and stuckness. This process sometimes feels like wearing a left shoe on your right foot! When you’re trying to interrupt emotional patterns and stuckness it will involve new dance moves that stretch and grow us. But I will be there to guide you into these new skills, safe vulnerability, and renewed intimacy. I love what I do and I’m honored to support your relationship.” Rebecca Stevenson is an LCSW with 20 years of helping couples and families. She has been a social worker, soldier, teacher, and therapist – all skills that serve her well in her counseling practice. She has been trained extensively at the Washington School of Psychiatry and specializes in helping couples who are fighting all the time, who have experienced an affair, or who have lost their “spark” for each other.
